Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Administrative Technical College / KufaThe Department of Accounting Technologies, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit, organized an awareness workshop entitled “Tolerance as a Civilizational Value in Confronting Extremist Thought,” as part of the Third National Plan for Security and Peace. The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Asst. Ilaf Qasim Mohammed, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, on Tuesday, 14/4/2026.The workshop addressed the concept of tolerance as a fundamental basis for peaceful coexistence among individuals and societies, emphasizing its role in building stable and cohesive communities founded on mutual respect. It also warned against the dangers of extremist thought, which is based on intolerance and rejection of differing opinions, leading to the spread of hatred and increased social tensions.
