Psychological Counseling

Established in 2020

The Psychological Counseling Unit is a specialized service unit dedicated to providing psychological and social support to students within the college. It contributes to promoting their mental well-being and helping them adapt to the university environment. The unit offers individual and group counseling services and organizes awareness activities focused on preventing behavioral and psychological issues, as well as enhancing students’ psychological and social balance skills.

To achieve a psychologically healthy and supportive university environment that fosters students’ personal and academic development, and guides them toward stability and success.

Providing comprehensive psychological counseling services aimed at supporting students both academically and personally, helping them cope with psychological and behavioral challenges through effective preventive and therapeutic strategies, within a safe and confidential environment that preserves individual privacy and dignity.

Providing psychological support to help students cope with the pressures of university life.

Early detection of psychological and behavioral issues and developing appropriate intervention plans.

Promoting a culture of mental health within the university community through awareness activities.

Offering individual and group counseling based on scientific and ethical principles.

Psychological Counseling

Providing Individual Counseling Sessions: Assisting students in dealing with psychological or social issues in a completely confidential and private setting.

Group Counseling: Organizing group sessions and workshops to address common issues among students, such as stress, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, or time management.

Psychological Screening and Evaluation: Identifying cases with psychological disorders or behavioral problems, conducting appropriate assessments, and monitoring their progress regularly.

Psychological Awareness: Implementing awareness campaigns and educational programs to promote mental health concepts, prevent stress and behavioral deviations, and develop life skills.

Crisis Intervention: Offering immediate psychological support in emergency situations such as accidents, loss, or personal crises.

Monitoring At-Risk Students: Reaching out to students at risk—such as those struggling academically, socially withdrawn, or exhibiting negative behaviors—and providing necessary support.

Coordination with Relevant Authorities: Collaborating with academic departments, student affairs, or specialized health institutions when referrals or joint efforts are needed for student support.

Reporting: Documenting counseling cases (while maintaining confidentiality) and preparing periodic reports that highlight common psychological issues within the college and their developments.

Cooperation with external organizations such as psychological support institutions or health associations.
Participation in community and academic events through representing the unit in conferences or university campaigns that promote psychological awareness.
