Under the Patronage of the Dean of the Administrative Technical College \/ Kufa, Assistant Professor Dr. Dirgham Hassan Abd,\n\nThe Human Rights Unit at the College, in cooperation with the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit, organized an awareness-raising panel discussion entitled \u201cChallenges Facing University Women\u201d, delivered by Lecturer Asst. Ilaf Qasim Mohammed, on Tuesday, 17\/2\/2026.\n\nThe session addressed the most significant challenges facing university women, as they represent a fundamental pillar in building society and shaping the future. University women constitute an aware and ambitious segment striving to acquire knowledge and actively participate in development. The key challenges discussed included:\n\nAcademic challenges, such as academic workload, numerous assignments, and difficulty balancing studies with other commitments.\n\nSocial and cultural challenges resulting from traditions and customs or limited family support.\n\nEconomic challenges, represented by financial burdens such as tuition fees and transportation costs.\n\nThe discussion also explored ways to address these challenges and proposed solutions, including strengthening academic and psychological counseling within universities, raising community awareness about the importance of women\u2019s education and support, providing a safe and supportive university environment, and involving female students in decision-making processes.\n\nIn conclusion, the lecturer emphasized that confronting the challenges faced by university women is a shared responsibility between the family, educational institutions, and society.
